I would not recommend Dr. Brian Ruby. I had three cavities filled by him, and all of them cracked within six months. He ended up fixing one but that broke again as well - less than three months later (and trust me, I'm careful with eating hard food, etc.). Rather than return to him (and pay yet again!), I went to another dentist who either corrected or replaced the fillings. Dr. Ruby worked fast, but maybe that was the problem. The office staff was friendly enough, but the dental hygenist was a little rough and abrubt. The pricing seemed to be somewhat reasonable, though the billing could definitely be more specific. Finally, I also had talked to him about getting laser gum surgery and veneers and his quotes were very very cheap, which made me nervous (this was before I started having problems with my fillings). When I asked for pictures of prior veneer procedures, he didn't have any. He also didn't explain the procedures detailed enough and/or didn't seem to want to answer any questions I had. Needless to say, with the fillings he had done cracking and/or falling out, I decided to not pursue getting veneers through him.

If this is the same Brian Ruby that has an office on Washington Street in Naperville, I would not recommend him. I had something that he should have detected, and didn't. What this individual failed to detect, even after several visits, was a very, very, very serious situation. It took another dentist who had the wherewithall to make a referal to a specialist so that this very serious problem could be addressed.
