i put off having my severe gum recession addressed for years primarily due to cost. my dds referred me to the "best" periodontist in the city... after spending a couple hundred dollars to receive a quote from him, i was told it would be thousands of dollars to get the work done. obviously gum recession only worsens with time, so i owed it to myself to get a second opinion. after googling san francisco periodontists and reading reviews of carrie berkovich, i was curious enough to call her office. if memory serves well, she actually picked up the phone one late afternoon and talked to me about the procedure and costs involved. i was a bit shocked by how cheap it was compared to my other quote and a little skeptical. however, i was compelled enough to go in and meet her for a consult. i liked her immediately and was impressed by her professionalism. my work for 2 teeth would be roughly $1800 all in, about $1500-2000 less than my other quote. i scheduled the appointment and was out of her office within an hour or less the day of surgery. continued below..

About Hygienist: overall, it was virtually painless, with minimal healing time. very different from the experience my other potential perio described. she used some tissue on the side of the roof of my mouth as opposed to the top, i believe. my results are outstanding... far better than the results anticipated by "the other guy." i'm so happy with my choice. dr. berkovich is at the top of her field.
