His work is very bad. I went to him at the USC faculty practice with complete trust because I was at USC for undergrad. He gave me 2 fillings and both of them were sensitive after the procedures. I went back to him twice and told him my problems, and he kept on telling me there were no problem. (BIG LIES) Now, I'm a dental student at USC, learning what's good dentistry and bad dentistry. And yeah..Both of the fillings he gave me are worse than what I can do as a first year dental student. The fillings are too sensitive because he drilled too deep and left the margin open so food got stuck and caries developed. (This would be an automatic F in school) If he was to be graded in school, he would get F's in many categories. Now, I will just get these fillings redone by a classmate. I have more trust in my classmates than in him.

Dr. Furuichi himself, I visited 2 times. The problem is he sees 3 patients in half an hour, he always has an half an hour appointment with one patient and two 15 minutes appointments with other patients. So if you come in for a short visit you will probably see him for about 5minutes, a long visit you will see him for about 15 minutes. So he will just tell you what you need and he is gone again. Dont expect any explanation! About the work he delivers, Im not sure. I never have any serious work been done by him. He could be good, but how would you know? And when my dentist is placing a crown, I expect him to take the time and not be in a rush, it is something that will be there for the rest of your life right? So in conclusion, I think the service is terrible, the non-dentists that work there are a disgrace for my beloved USC. And Dr Furuichi should take his time. I dont want to judge on his qualities as a prosthodontist, he is a USC professor, so I expect him to have some qualities. Although I didnt feel right here, thats why I am currently looking for a new dentist, although I have a broke tooth as we speak.

About Hygienist: 2. The hygienist I dont know her name, but they never say anything, although I ask some basic questions about the pictures she takes and so forth. The reason they dont really talk is cause the large majority are not native English speakers (neither am I, but at least I can or do my best). 1. The reception and service are terrible. Although Im from USC and am proud of it, Im ashamed of this facility. The people at the reception are extremely impolite and very patronizing. e.g. One time I broke one of my tooth, 50% was gone, so I called for a long appointment so Dr Furuichi would have the time. But they kept ignoring my request, saying: Are you a dentist? Neither am I so let us first see what the real dr has to say. So after seeing the dr. I obviously had to come back for a longer appointment. This is just one example out of many.

Dr. Furuichi is very careful yet very fast. He's done my fillings in less than a minute (at least it felt so.) I recommend him strongly.
