Gallagher's a strange fellow to begin with. First off let me point out he's actively looking for people who have screwed up lives. In my case I was screwed over by big business with asthma. I've become the perfect sort of fellow to unload on. And Gallagher found me a capable target to bully around and seek his revenge against. He'd rather put me in a hole than to feel pity or sympathy towards my industry created asthma and considers me the general public enemy number one. Remember the TV commerical Gallagher ran in the early 90's? About the Barney like Dino roaming a shopping center parking lot waving to shoppers. That's part of Gallagher's mad mad mad world of advertising to turn the table on unsuspecting customers. Nobodies talking about the real problems with dentistry like Aids and other diseases, so he resorts to fantasyland staying a step ahead of the average customer who watches Disney instead of Dateline. So I'm out of a tooth, and he got his revenge against the government and people. My insurance company CIGNA doesn't do implants, so I'm now risking losing all my teeth to bridge work. Bridge work compromises the teeth next to the false replacement. He's the most expensive dentist you'll ever have without walls.

This dentist sent me to a root canal specialist for two teeth. The problem was neither tooth needed a root canal. It was another tooth that was causing the pain. As a result of the root extraction and subsquent work on the good tooth I lost it completely. Because the filling was to big and drilled through, and the enamel too thin the tooth rotted under it's cap and fell out. CIGNA DENTAL wanted to document the case, but offeres no other recourse. I ask CIGNA to replace the tooth with an implant. And the agent responded by acting like I was from a different planet causing massive static in the phone and hung up.

I had my wisdom teeth puuled by Dr. Gallagher himself a number of years ago. I'd say in the mid 90's. It was the worst experience of my life. I had nothing but problems after that and he told me that since they were impacted, I would have problems and that everyone has problems with impacted wisdom teeth. That is not the case. My sister had her wisdom teeth pulled (not by Gallagher's office thank god!) and had NO problems what so ever. Her teeth were so badly impacted that when the dentist took them out, he had to cut the bottom ones out in 3 pieces. The front desk of Dr. Gallagher's office is extremely overwhelmed. They would also sometimes bring the receptionist back to assist the doctors and the receptionist had no idea as to what to do. I am very disappointed at the way that Dr. G bills his patients and that if they knew what was going on, they'd contact an attorney. I will never again refer anyone to him, not even my worst enemy!

At Dr. Gallagher's office there are several dentists that get randomly assigned, and they seem to have a heavy rotation. My first visit, for a checkup and cleaning, was on a day that three doctors called out sick and all the rest save one were on vacation. The receptionist was obviously overwhelmed. An Indian woman (possibly Dr. Nighat Ajmal) gave me one filling, and after that my tooth was in constant pain. Returning two weeks later to have it looked at, a different dentist (possibly Dr. Li Chao) said the problem was a deep internal cavity that the first dentist somehow missed. He filled the cavity, but said that if pain persisted I would need a root canal. For both dentists, English was not their first language. I have no prejusdice about such things, but neither was able to communicate with me very well to explain what was wrong or what needed to be done. Since I was in zero pain before a routine checkup and I am in constant pain now and facing a root canal, I can not recommend this office at all.
