Dr Smolenski appears to know what she's doing, and she is very friendly. She is very communicative, and interested in staying in touch between appointments about how other treatments (orthodontic, surgical) are going. She does have a somewhat aggressive approach to dentistry, not in terms of preferring invasive treatments, but in terms of trying to get you to do everything possible to keep your teeth as long as possible, even if there is not necessarily an _immediate_ threat of pain or functional problems. But she is very clear about explaining which things she wants to for which reasons so you can prioritize things.

About Front Desk: Elisa is extremely friendly and extremely attentive. She understands all the ins and outs of the administrative and scheduling side of the practice, how to deal with insurance etc., and executes them quickly and smoothly. She appears to have enough of an understanding about what the various diagnoses and treatments are to be able to function without having to ask the doctor about each detail, which also contributes to prompt and reliable service.

I went to Dr. Smolenski only for a few short months but I still regret it! She did a couple of my cavities and one crown. What a nightmare! The dental assistant is TERRIBLE, she was not paying any attention to what she was doing and I always ended up with water all over my face and my clothes. She hurt my gums so badly they would hurt for few more days. After doing my crown and charging me $1200 for it (my current dentist charges me half of that and my insurance covers 60% so it matters!), somehow she crewed it up and I got serious infection. I had to go through the worse weekend of my life with insane tooth pain until on Monday I was able to see another doctor, that did my root canal. It was really bad! She also did work on my lower, back tooth which seemed fine. But when I switched to my new doctor and saw actual pictures of her job - she didn't do anything! The cavity was still there and she put on a little "patch" on a side. What a nightmare! I have to get this tooth re-done! I asked Dr. Smolenski about a year ago to transfer all my records to the new doctor, called, sent letter and NOTHING. The worse service ever. One of my friends also left this clinic, it's just not worth your money, your health or your time.

About Hygienist: The hygienist was actually very nice and very detailed.
