You never hear people rave about a root canal, but aside from the awkwardness of keeping my mouth open, I would have never known what was going on. It was so easy and pain-free, could not recommend more!

I had my first root canal with Dr. Rauth. I was so nervous. He was extremely gentle - I did not feel any pain. He explained everything to me as he went along. I liked his honesty and thoroughness. I went in with an infected tooth and a ton of pain. I feel a little soreness now but all pain is gone. I would definitely recommend this Dr. to anyone.

I love Dr. Rauth, he is conservative, considerate, calm and an expert at diagnosing the problems in my teeth. I have had over 11 root canals, and would not go to anyone but Dr. Rauth. He is a savior. Shelley Kramer, healthy-communications.com

Dr. Rauth is a wonderful dentist. I wish he was a general dentist so that I could go to him for everything.
His office is calm and quiet, a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. His staff is friendly and helpful.
I needed a root canal repaired a few years ago, and he sucessfully repaired it. Other dentists had expressed doubt that it could be repaired, but Dr. Rauth did it, and it's been no trouble ever since.
My son just needed an emergency root canal, due to great pain. Dr. Rauth took him that day, in spite of a full schedule.
Our PPO insurance does not include him, so insurance payments were minimal. I don't know what full coverage would be like; it's always best to get a dental prestatement anyway, but we did not have time. We have a fairly large bill to pay, but I checked the PPO list we have, and did not trust anyone on it.
I highly recommend him.

Dr. Rauth did two surgeries on my two of failed root canal and all I can say is that the whole process was stress-free. The office is very clean and Dr. Rauth was extremely nice and caring. I referred one of my friend there and he was very happy with the result. I would certainly refer Dr. Rauth to anyone who have trouble finding a good root canal specialist.

I only had one experience with Dr. Rauth, but I was impressed with Dr. Rauth's competence (as far as I can tell) and his ethics. I didnt actually have a root canal done although I was scheduled for one. After drilling into my tooth, he determined fairly quickly that the root canal procedure would be futile due to a baseline fracture in my tooth. So he immediately referred me to an oral surgeon to have the tooth removed. He explained that had he done the procedure, the tooth would have lasted another 6 months before becoming reinfected. So I feel he has integrity. I really have no idea if his charge was expensive since I didnt compare prices.

The last root canal has been a real problem. Dr. Rauth, by his own admission, found only 2 of 3 or 4 roots on this upper molar. Rather than tell me afterwards that the tooth should not be capped, he sent me back to my dentist for the crown. I have had constant unremitting pain in the tooth and gum ever since. His solution? Yet another procedure, an apicoectomy, that he doubts will solve the problem but I am expected to pay for. When I told another dental specialist about my problem, he thought I'd had the root canal done by a dentist, not an endodontist, and certainly not by Dr. Rauth. I've tried to resolve the situation with Dr. Rauth but have been unsuccessful as yet and it will be a year come this December.
