I have been going to this dentist since 1998. The whole staff is great. Very professional and friendly at the same time.

About Front Desk: They are all very helpful and personable. Great staff everyone.

About Hygienist: The hygienist, dedrie, I have been going to since I have been going is great. shes very thorough but gentle. Shes very helpful. I wouldn't want to go to any other hygienist or dentist.

Dr. Findlay is a master at what he does. My case was very difficult and I know that I will never have the perfect 'hollywood smile'. He worked extra time , days off, and at times didn't take his breaks to get the job done. It has been a process, but the end results are good. However, it is a very expensive facility, and I know that i could have the work done for much cheaper- but would it be as good? I don't think so, I think you get what you pay for, and your teeth are the first thing people see. Dr. Findlay is an artist!

The office itself was very nice and the support staff were personable and accomodating. However, I received a filling from Dr. Findlay, after which I kept experiencing increasing pain and sensitivity in that tooth. Ultimately it turned out that I needed a root canal. Although a root canal being necessitated by a filling (particularly a deep one) is not completely uncommon or the result of poor dentistry - although it can be - the problem was more so Dr. Findlay's response to the problem. He was very flippant about the pain, implying that it was just oversensitivity on my part and did not even take an x-ray to ascertain the cause of the pain. In short, he did nothing to remedy the problem. Of course, the end result for me was an emergency root canal (which my new dentist diagnosed immediately after taking an x-ray) and a big bill. For this reason I do not recommend Dr. Findlay to other patients. The dentist seemed more concerned with appearances and trying to foist cosmetic dental work (i.e. whitening, veneers) on his patients than by actually providing good dental care.

Findlay cannot get their billing straight. I pay for all services at the time of the procedure and end up getting myseterious bills for other amounts that cannot be explained. I stopped going there because of this, despite the convenience to my office.

I was very pleased with Dr. Findlay, his staff, and the location of the office. The front office not only took the time to answer all of my questions on billing but always accomodates my hectic schedule. My cousin in the east coast was my dentist and I had no caveties, or so I thought. Dr. Findlay found small decay and suggested a filling. I did not schedule until I called my cousin who said and I quote" a great dentist will do the filling before it grows, charge you a small amount and attack the problem. A bad dentist will wait until it grows to perform a costly procedure." I did the filling, his manerism was excellect and the cost was informed to me prior to the service, and were nice enough to let me pay the estimate as opposed to all upfront and bill me for the difference as my insurance pays for unattractive, unhealthy silver fillings! I recommend this office if you want great care, if you want to save some bucks and pay more later than this is not the place for you!

I've had terrible dental work done in the past, leaving me terrified of going to the dentist. Dr Findlay & his assistants & office staff have been absolutely wonderful, helping me get through my dental-phobia and treating me like a princess. They're very accomodating to my schedule, help me feel comfortable and relaxed in the office, and they are perfectionists - my fillings are always done perfectly smooth and even, and he takes painstaking efforts to be sure the crowns I've had done are a perfect match. It's definitely expensive, but when you've had such bad prior experiences like I've had - it's worth it.

I just read the other reviews and agree completely... I was laughing because I thought I was the only one who thought those things. God bless the internet, because now I don't feel so crazy. Dr. Findlay is VERY nice, has a great "bedside" manner, and isn't phoney like some "nice" dentists. HOWEVER, I do often get the impression that he fills caviities that either don't really exist, or that most other dentists wouldn't fill. And he refills old fillings (takes out the old one to put in his new filling)... which is expensive. I have no medical or dental degree, so I can't say that this is legit... but I often wonder if it's just to pay for his nice, expensive looking office and equipment. Maybe he is just proactive, I don't know. For instance, the cavity thing seems a little shady, but the mouth guard thing isn't. Like the other reviewer, Dr. Findly also told me that I grind my teeth and need a mouth guard. I didn't believe him until 3 months later when my boyfriend and I moved in together and he woke me up several times a night to stop me from grinding my teeth so badly. Who knew I really was a grinder?

I am very pleased with the dental treatment and service I received from Dr. Findlay and his staff. I've had terrible experiences with dentist for years! He not only helped over that phobia, but he was very gentle, had wonderful chairside manner and his assistant was there holding my hand to help with the anxiety of my first visit. My opinion, when it comes to my teeth, quality and not quantity are what matter, after all it is a very important part of my business, my smile that is. The facility was clean, pleasant and the staff again was wonderful and very down to earth. He is not on my plan, that was thouroughly explained to me and yes, my fillings were also not covered, but that's my crappy insurance, not him! He is wonderful, most of the staff in my office go to him, and I will do just the same.
