I was referred to Dr. Mc Cormick by my friend, who is a dentist. He spoke highly of Dr. Mc Cormick's quality of work.
I have a family history of not responding immediately to anesthetics. It has happened during any and all types of surgeries, and dental procedures. I usually need a longer wait time and more anesthetics than normal before proceeding.
I suggested arriving earlier, so as not to hold up his schedule while I waited to get numb. I was told not to worry, just arrive at the normally scheduled time.
I discussed my dilema with Dr. Mc Cormick before the procedure. As usual, I did not respond as he had hoped I would to the anesthetic. I asked him not to continue until I was numb. It took a couple of repeated shots before I was painfree.
Dr. Mc Cormick was noticeably upset with me, his demeanor abruptly changed. He made some unappreciated snide remarks. He left me with the impression that he neither liked nor respected women.
I related my experience and concerns to my dentist friend. He confided that some of his other female patients had expressed similar complaints concerning Dr. Mc Cormick. He has sinced stopped referring his patients to Dr. Mc Cormick.
