Beware. He created many issues in my teeth due to inappropriate or very poor dentisty. After spending thousands of dollars with him, now going through the pain, tooth loss, and expense of trying to get my teeth back to good health.

I have excessive fear of going to the dentist and had to stop seeing Dr. Melfi because the drive was too far and added to my anxiety

Dr Melfi took over about 3 years ago, for the retired Dr Lawrence Nannery , whom was my dentist for over 30 years.
Once I saw the Cappucino machine and the flat screen and cowboy boots, I was initially apprehensive, but was quickly proved wrong.
I was really impressed with the attention received by Dr Melfi and his staff. He provides a thorough explanation on everything he does and why. He has actually told me several times about what I don't need!
I had a question on a cavity, he promptly took a mini camera, put it in my mouth and the tooth showed up on the tv monitor.
The staff is like family to me as I have known them for many years.

Dr. Melfi uses the latest technology to make your visits comfortable and painless. My wife got an implant, and I got three CEREC onlays. Whenever possible, he uses lasers to drill - no novocaine, vibration, or pain. Very few dentists are trained in these technologies and very few are so warm and cordial.
The staff makes you feel like family and works hard to make treatments affordable to people of lttle means.
Dr. Melfi is one of the best dentists on the south shore of Boston.
