My now grown children, my husband and I have used Dr. Duffell for 25 years. We could not be happier with the care we have received. He and his team are thorough, always responsive to an emergency, and provide skilled care. We have had crowns as well as routine care completed. He refers to excellent endodontists in the area for root canals. The atmosphere is homey and warm. Dr. Duffel is appropriately conservative in his approach, never advocating unnecessary care. Appointment times are extremely punctual-I have NEVER had to wait more than 3 minutes to be in the chair, which is much appreciated. The care is never rushed.

I would absolutely not recommend this dentist. I believe that he pushed me into unnecessarily filling a tooth and did it with a black, mercury-filled filling nonetheless. After reluctantly agreeing to the filling, I was expecting a white one because I didn't even think black ones are used anymore for obvious reasons and was horrified when I opened my mouth and saw a black spot since he, of course, didn't ask or even inform me that he was using black. He's very arrogant and does not explain what he's doing and is also very expensive. Avoid avoid avoid!
About Hygienist: They pushed X-rays on me every time I had a cleaning which made me very uncomfortable and ultimately why I stopped going. I would explain that I pay out of pocket plus I don't want unnecessary X-rays but they'd really put the screws on and persist every time. Obviously, they have instructions from Dr. Duffell and they don't care if they make patients feel uncomfortable, they just want to squeeze as much money as possible out of them.

Dr. Duffell is professional and knowledgeable. He has a great sense of humor and is wonderful with children as well as adults. I would not go to anyone else.
