Though I was warned by many who had a bad experience with him, I took a friend's recommendation and chose Dr. Osborne as our family dentist. For several years, he & his staff were friendly, booked relatively quick appointments & treated on-time. On the other hand, "Dr. Oz" was quick to admit that he didn't have the skill set (which happened often) and I found his fees to be above my insurance plan's "allowed amount" without fail. All this to say, I wasn't unhappy, but wasn't overly impressed. UNTIL he made a mistake... He completed two fillings which fell off in less than a week. I then had another issue that was cared for poorly (leaving me in pain & without treatment for 2 weeks). I felt certain he wasn't aware of this problem, so I brought to his attention in a respectful manner... in lieu of an apology or offer of assistance, his response was "I don't appreciate you questioning my staff or my ethics. You need to take responsibility and stop looking for others to blame. I refuse to treat you any longer". Needless to say, I was stunned, befuddled and disappointed. I have NEVER been spoken to that way by a physician or dentist. After the experience, I have heard from several others that he provided poor care and was aggressive when called into question. I have referred many friends to his practice, but have since called to warn them about this terrible experience. This is the last thing you want when dealing with pain and facing incredible expense. There are plenty of other dentists to choose from in this area... I suggest you save yourself the headache & look elsewhere.

I needed a crown replaced and some new fillings. I was told this by another dentist. I went to Dr. Oz for a second opinion. The first dentist's treatment was so expensive, I could not have done my second cleaning for the year under insurance! Dr. Oz evaluated me and even showed me how there was a completely made up charge to remove my old crown - a code that does not exist for insurance. I'm so happy that I went for the second opinion. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding the crown - has always been painful when they work with it - but this was not an issue for me at all with Dr. Oz. He has the right touch/technique or something. I have money left over for my second cleaning this year now - and you can bet that it will be with Dr. Oz.
