I went to Dr Rubin for a second opinion. She was very rushed. Instead of reviewing brand new x-rays I brought, she insisted on taking new x-rays, but then instead of reviewing them with me, she announced she had to go to lunch and I would have to return {for an additional appointment fee}. She also refused to email me my x-rays and would not allow her receptionist to send them to me despite my paying for the appointment and x-rays in advance. She's all about the money. Btw, her own teeth are a mess -- a clear sign she is not a good dentist.

Dr. Rubin is excellent! She has treated me and my whole extended family for the past 10 years and we have all been happy with her work. We frequently recommend her to friends and colleagues, who love her as well. She is professional, warm & highly competent. She knows the latest research on all things dental, and is also an academic. For myself personally, she did an esthetic bonding on one of my front teeth that has last 5 years and counting, in comparison to the last time I had it done by another dentist when it lasted only 5 months! I have been very happy with her work and recommend her highly!

Great overall experience. I've seen 6 dentist for my child's teeth and have felt the most comfortable with Dr. Rubin. I respect her opinion more than any dentist I've ever been to. Would go to see her regularly if I still lived in the states.

I have had only good experiences with Dr. Rubin. I feel she truly cares about my dental health and is only aggressive when it comes to optimizing the health of my teeth and gums.
She is an activist dentist in that she sees a problem and she sizes it up and discusses options to address it.
I first came to Dr. Rubin after a terrible experience with a dentist who put on a very bad cap. She fixed it, and fixed another piece of poor work the guy had done. She was a perfectionist and I appreciated it.
If you are looking for quality work and an outstanding doctor I believe Dr. Rubin is your gal. She's passionate about dentistry and clearly loves her work. She is also a brainy doc, and promotes safe materials (I had all of my mercury removed by her and replaced with white fillings that have held up extremely well for a decade).
Quality dental work in Manhattan is not cheap, but a healthy mouth goes a long way to promoting overall health and really matters I believe. Dr. Rubin is your partner in that goal.

Dr. Rubin has been doing my fillings, cleanings and crowns for 7 years. Since my first visit, I have always been really impressed by her skill and her ability to minimize pain in procedures. Her years of practice and professional skill gives me a sense that I'm in safe hands.
Her style is very informational and I feel comfortable because she explains various treatments and allows me to make my decisions, instead of just pushing dentistry.
I liked the way that she educated me about gum care and patiently taught me how to floss.
I've seen a great improvement in my gums and have significantly less problems with my teeth, as my overall dental health has greatly improved.
Dr. Rubin is also very sensitive to my financial needs. I was impressed by her honesty in promptly refunding an overpayment.
She also a wealth of knowledge concerning holistic and natural remedies, and I liked her avoidance of toxic materials like mercury.

Dr. Rubin is highly un-professional. She refuses to discuss cost upfront, but will charge you for unintended service triple of what you should have paid. Her staff of 1 - a secretary is very aggressive regarding appointments and will charge $100 for any missed appoint. There is no dental assistant, and the equipment is antiquated. A simple cleaning by Dr. Rubin left me in pain for 4-5 days afterwards !

Dr. Rubin has been my dentist for 17 years. She has done onlays, fillings and crowns. Her treatments have been pain-free, and she seems to take extra care to ensure that the patient is comfortable and as relaxed as possible. The restorations she has done have been expertly crafted and have held up well over time (i.e., nearly two decades). Whenever I have had a dental emergency, Dr. Rubin has been very responsive. I recommend her highly.

In Dr. Rubin I have met my "dentist soulmate". When I first met her she did an amazingly thorough exam and used lo radiation xrays. We reviewed the plan and costs; she drew pictures and showed me models of my mouth issues and their solutions. We had a full discussion of pros and cons. I learned so much in those first two sessions. I understood how to make informed decisions about my mouth. She did cosmetic work on my front teeth.(#8,9.10)
The result is sensational and my experience in the chair was more spectacular than that. I can't beleive that my dental experience was "spectacular". Dr. Rubin preceded with the care, professionalism and skill that gave me trust and confidence in the end product. I still have two implants to get...I only wish I met her earlier in my years. I probably would have saved all my teeth.
About Hygienist: I love that she did my gum treatments!! I am a flosser now!!!

Dr. Rubin has done cleanings, fillings, crowns and bridges for me for many years. She is a reliable, pain free dentist and I've never had any complications. She runs her office very efficiently and is always on time or will call in advance to say how late she is running. She is conveniently located in midtown near my office so I can generally get the dental work done during lunch hours. She also referred me to very good endodontist when I needed a root canal.
About Hygienist: Dr. Rubin does the hygienist as well as the dental work.
