Dr Lau is fine- she is a little short on courtesy but seems very competent and quick. She did minor cavity work on me for 2 years and I never had a problem. The offices are kind of shabby but the dental tools are all wrapped in plastic and look clean. Assistants and reception are fine too-- they speak Spanish as well as English and Dr. Lau speaks Chinese. The waiting area is a bit outdated but it does the job.
The one caveat is the dentist who works with her, a Latina woman. She worked on my teeth last year, filling two cavities, and they have not felt right since, but I do not want to go back to her under any circumstances. The sensitivity of the area she worked on never went away, and I got headaches from my bite being misaligned. I've basically been eating on one side of my mouth for a year now, and have recently developed a bad toothache in that area.
Another thing is that they are located in Jackson Heights, Queens, at 35th Ave and 74th St., which is convenient if you live in the neighborhood, but if you move or you want to switch dentists for some reason, they will charge $80 for x-rays.

Excellent services, friendly, great results, 2 office locations in Jackson Heights & Elmhurst. Easy to get to. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
