Be Careful! Dr. Moskowitz and Dr. Park ARE EASY ON THE TRIGEER WHEN IT COMES TO TEETH EXTRACTIONS. They lied about the length of treatment. I was in my twenties, so they knew I would not do it if it took over 3 years (which it did), so they lied and said it would take 18 months. They also did not mention that they would “have to” extract 2 teeth to complete the treatment; they only mentioned this after I paid $8,000 and had the braces on for a few months. I had to argue with them that this is not what I wanted. Not only I argued about the extractions, I even tried to negotiate. Extracting the teeth sounded excessive to me. I already had spaces between my teeth. It fell on deaf ears. Dr. Park said, they don’t work that way. The excuse was that this is what it says “in the literature”. Later, I found out that the general philosophy among orthodontists is to avoid teeth extractions! The real horrific part of the ‘treatment’ was that after I extracted 2 permanent teeth, they only then bothered to mention that they expected me to fix the gaps between the teeth created from the extractions with crowns/veneveneers. They failed to mention any veneers in the ‘treatment plan’ meeting. Do they teach ethics in orthodontics school?
