My son had serious dental problems stemming from cancer treatments. He also hated doctors and was very anxious and sick. Dr. Pang is very experienced, very knowledgable, and very intelligent. She has worked extensively with young patients who have special needs and considerations so she is familiar with such things as preventive antibiotics, the need for general anesthesia or a hospital setting because of compromised immune function, etc. She knows to ask about things like chemo meds, white cell counts, stuff like that.
While I can't say that my son likes the dentist I do have to say that she is able to work with him very well which is much more than I can say for other doctors. He can be extremely uncooperative given his experience with doctors so far and she is very capable of dealing with that; as a result he feels safe with her.
I do not usually like doctors or dentists myself, I can be high maintenance and hard to satisfy having very high expectations. I have always come away very satisfied with the quality of the care Dr. Pang provides. I have a great deal of respect for her, I would absolutely recommend her to others, especially to those children with special needs or other medical problems.
