I saw Dr. Jacobson for a number of years. At the last, I was considering going elsewhere simply because he was so expensive— a good 50% more expensive than other dentists but I have difficult issues and I did not want to have to start over with another dentist. Then one day Dr. Jacobson told me I needed to replace my veneers with crowns. He knew I wanted to keep as much tooth structure as possible and that I opposed crowns. We'd had the conversation before. I suggested we have a conversation about veneers vs crowns. He said no, that he was the dentist and that that was his decision. Well no, it isn't his decision given that the teeth live in my mouth. All of the sudden, that decision I had been putting off for a couple of years became really easy. I never went back.
