The cost is exorbitant, perhaps to be expected to some degree since she bills herself primarily as a cosmetic dentist. Jamie had a young dental assistant make the mold for a temporary crown and the temporary made from it was terrible--poor fit, stuck out like a ball of gum, had no tooth ridges on the inside and HURT. After two visits due to ongoing pain after my root canal and placement of this temporary, Jamie herself made a new mold and temporary which was MUCH better. Imagine my complete and utter shock then when I went in for my permanent only to discover that they had not had it remade with the corrected mold but the original poor-fitting one!!!!! Even tech helping Jamie noticed right away and her resonse was "Oh well...that's okay, we know it fit okay and we'll use it." To this day (MONTHS later) I still have discomfort, my teeth don't match where the crown in and it's difficult to chew. When I said that I simply could not afford to get all of the work done that she had identified that I needed (it exceeded my VERY good annthat I was pressured to see their in-house financing person? WTF? IT was as bad as a used car dealership. SO although the facilites are among the nicest around, and everyone has a very nice venee

About Hygienist: After years of avoiding the dentist, I finally had to go when I developed a tooth problem. I made to feel ashamed of not going to the dentist in the past as I should have and was inordinantly pressured by the dental hygienist to have some EXPENSIVE medication put on my gums prior to cleaning that wasn't covered by my insurance and that in fact was not covered by ANY insurance company (this according to her, not me). I declined and was subjected to a multitude of reasons and arguments throughout my cleaning from the woman as why I should have had it, how I had gum disease (not even mentioned by the dentist herself!)..on and on. I finally had to tell her outright to give it a rest since I was not about to pay for something that pricey out of pocket when no insurance company around would pay. After that my cleaning, which had up that point been relatively painless, became rough and uncomfortable. Her friendliness and chitchat suddenly dried up in such a way that I can only assume that there was some sort of kick back for the meds she sold.
