In the past, I wasn't always thrilled about going to go to the dentist because of my previous dentist (who I won't name). My brother and I for years dubbed him as "The Butcher" for reasons I won't go into. But after my first visit to Dr. Johnston's office, all of my concerns are gone. First entering, it's very welcoming, the staff are extremely friendly and even the seats are comfortable!
During any procedure regardless of what field, I've always been weary of needles (even when I get blood drawn and I'm 24). Thankfully my mind was put as ease with the combination of his careful application of the needle and the comedy classic, "Office Space," playing on a monitor hanging above, as I barely noticed and I kept smiling. Dr. Johnston made my visit very fast and a pleasure. I'm glad to have that sense of relief even though I've only known him for a couple days.
My Mom especially knew of my discomfort before as I resisted "The Butcher." Finally, that part is in the past and it feels awesome. :)
