I am a dental hygienist (not Dr. Matas), I was referred to him by a friend. All of my teeth had abfractions and abrasions at the gum line. Some with decay and some that were showing dentin which is a darker color than enamel. Basically my gums had receeded do to clenching and grinding at night and brushing too vigorously. Dr. Mata was very attentive and informative of all of my options and he recommended the least expensive procedures. He did half of my mouth in one appointment and the other half at a second appointment. My teeth look perfect, I felt no pain, and he had a wonderful sense of humor. I only had to wait about 5 min. to see him and the staff were all very friendly and reassuring. I can't imagine that he is the same dentist that I read 3 bad reviews on. His temperament and disposition was very pleasant and low key. He treated his staff and me with respect and answered all of my questions. He literally brought back the look of my original teeth before all of this recession started and unless you're looking at my teeth with some sort of magnification you can't tell where my teeth end and the composite fillings begin. The composites were all on the facial surfaces of my teeth. I have recommended him to all my family.
