After careful research on Dentist in the Charlotte area, I picked Smiles by Design. The office was an easy drive from Charlotte. I had my first office visit in June of this year. The waiting room was very relaxing. There was a large mural on the wall with a low country scene. I was called back to a room for an examine. I had an old filling that broke out sometime before and I know that needed attention. One of the Hygienist took x-rays and marked my chart. During this time I could hear laughter coming from another room. I thought that patient was having a good time. In a few minutes Dr. Schraw came into the room and I was meeting her for the first time. When she introduced herself, I realized she was the one laughing the loudest in the other room. She looked at my chart and x-rays and looked in my mouth to see what problems I had and checked the broken filling and discussed what needed to be done with that tooth and others that have be neglected over the years. She was very professional but made you feel relaxed and comfortable. Some how we got on the subject of BBQ which she and her family likes to make. She did replace the broken large filling with a crown at another appointment and the color matched perfectly.

About Front Desk: You can't have a practice without a good front office staff. They make you feel welcome and they are really glad you are there. Not only does Dr. Schraw have a good eye for her dental work, she has the ability to hire the top staff members. I sure can pick a Dental office. My only regret is that my filling did not fall out sooner.

About Hygienist: Wow--The Best--I have worked with and around many people in my work life and I would have to say she is one of the best. She was very professional and knows her job. She had to do some deep scaling on my teeth over several appointment. A great addition to this office.

I know this doctor: First visit was June 29th, 2016 and I have had several visits with Hygienist for deep cleaning. I have also had an old filling replaced with a crown. I had not been to a Dentist in a very long time and will have many more appointments over the next several months.
