In general, I've never really enjoyed visits to doctors or dentists, but I look forward to my trips to Dr. Yucel's office. The view of San Francisco from the dental chair in the 17th floor is wonderful. You can just relax and watch the city go by while waiting your turn in the chair. Dr. Yucel is an exceptional practitioner—a rare blend of warm and scientific. Whenever I've had treatments involving pain medication, she slowly ramps the anesthetic such that I almost never feel a thing. And if your the type of person who like to understand what's going, she can explain how and why things work, but she can also sympathize with your pain. She's also a stickler for preventive care—a good thing—and she will gently yet firmly recommend a daily dental plan that's going to work for you.
More than anything, I feel like Dr. Yucel office offers something really rare in today's fast-paced world: time. And that requires a kind of discipline and patience that I really admire.
