Dr. Sakos put a crown on a rear molar that disintegrated in less than 4 years.
He makes the crowns in his office and they are not as durable as lab produced crowns which I have had for over 30 years. It never felt smooth and the bite was never quite right.
It cost me over $1500 to fix what he had done.

Deano and his staff are superb. He has gone out of his way to help and beyond the call of duty. When my mother in law moved to town I recommended she go to him (and I like my mother in law).
The staff is very friendly and know me personally; not just my patient number.

Dr Sakos staff is incredibly professional and caring! Dr Sakos is kind and gentle and will take the time needed to get the job done right! I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a cosmetic or general dentist in Austin!
About Hygienist: Love the hygiene staff at this office, too! Very thorough and professional.

I have been going to Dr. Sakos for nearly two years. I actually live in Houston but work in Austin as well. I initially looked up a dentist on the web and found Westlake Hills Cosmetic Dentistry. I happened to be in Austin that week and I had a tooth pain that needed to be looked at immediately. Fortunately his office was able to get me in the next day and fix my tooth with a new crown. The experience was not what I expected but remarkably wonderful. They even provide you with headphones and a flat screen TV to make the process go by quicker. You even get to choose the channel you want to watch. The office is very clean and I did not have to wait an hour just to get seen once I arrived there. The process was extremely smooth and virtually painless. I was not upsold when I got there and only suggested what I needed at the time. I continue to use Dr Sakos as my family dentist. I would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone who needs a professional dentist who treats you like a family member. I was also impressed the Dr. Sakos took the necessary time to answer all my questions and concerns. If there is such a thing as a five star Cosmetic Dentist then this is the place.
About Hygienist: Linda has done a great job on my teeth cleaning. She was exceptionally gentle on my gums and with the x-rays on my teeth since I have a small mouth.

Dr. Sakos did an excellent job on my front tooth. I had to have an implant and was a little apprehensive about loosing a front tooth. He and his staff put me at ease and now no one knows that my front tooth is not naturally mine. I am VERY please to have him as my dentist and recommend him to anyone looking for an excellant dentist.
About Hygienist: My hygienist was very good. She explained areas to work on while praising me on my improved with flossing. Thanks Linda I look forward to my next 6 month appointment.

Dr. Sakos was ok at first. When it came to my crown work he was less than ok. When he replaced a crown that had broken he never bother to take an xray or review my previous xrays. That cost me a third crown on the same tooth because there was still a root and the crown he had just replaced had to be destroyed to do a second root canal. Dr. Sakos could have seen this before the second crown if he looked at the xray like he did when I returned to him complaining of pain and he sent me for another root canal. He never offered to replace the crown that had to be destroyed. Well, at least not for free...as you might think because he could have prevented the need for a third crown. And he never offered to refunded my money for the second crown which had to be destroyed.
About Hygienist: Linda is great and does an excellent job. No complaints about her work. Both my husband and I really liked her. My teeth were cleaned well and without a lot of undue roughness. Not having Linda to clean my teeth is my only regret about not returning to Dr. Sakos' office.

I visited Dr. Sakos about 1 year ago; he provided an estimate for implant work that I am planning to get in the next year. His attention to detail was what motivated me to spend the extra money on his services. The time he spent to provide me a best case/worst case scenario was well worth the added expense. I have since changed my insurance policy just so I can go to his practice; and am in the process of moving all my family members to his practice. You get what you pay for, and with Dr. Sakos you get the top notch treatment and smile to be proud of.

Dr Sakos is the best dentist I've been to, but is not in any network, which is why I'm looking for someone new. I've had fillings with him and my husband has had crowns put in. We both had pain free experiences. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. At times we have had problems with billing.

The staff and the Doctor are very friendly and competent. Everything went very well I will continue to use him as my dentist.
