Dr. Guffey has a wonderful chair-side manner. He will talk through your treatment options, let you know which he thinks will be the most cost-effective, but lets you decide. His office staff has always been friendly and they are willing to see you on very short notice.

Thank you Dr Guffey for fantastic professional dental treatments you have given to both myself & my husband. I had a root canal & a cavity filled with no pain. My husband had an excess tissue removed from his tongue & praise God it was not cancerous. You & your assistant Annette have made us feel so comfortable in placing our confidence in you. All your staff sports their beautiful smiles as we walk into the office, everyone is so friendly. Appointments are made at our conveniences, they explain the cost to you so there are no hidden surprises when the work is done. I recommend Dr Guffey to anyone that needs dental services, are nervous or embarrassed , they will make you feel so at ease with no pain. Thank you Dr Guffey & to your staff!

I've know Dr Guffey for 2 years but i went somewhere else instead of with him and i have to say i'm sorry i did. i saw Dr Guffey for the first time on 03/05/2012 and i'm glad i did he is a good Dentist kept me calm which has been hard for me here lately and explained everything to where i would understand did not force anything on me but left it all up to me. I want to say i really appreciate Dr Guffey and he will be MY Dentist from now on.
The Staff is great and very kind and concerned for their patients, the office setting is very nice and comfortable.
About Hygienist: I also saw Adrienne the Hygienist and she was very good at her job i'm very thankful for Adrienne "She Rocks" my teeth glow or should i say shine thank you Adrienne. M.C.

Regular clean ups done at this practice have actually had better results than the deep cleanings I've had elsewhere. When you show up to a consultation you are greeted with smiles and normal conversation. Dr. Guffy and staff take the time to make recommendations on how to improve your oral health rather than make you feel awful for a bad visit as other practices tend to do. I have recommended mountain view family dental to friends and have gotten positive feedback from them as well.

Today, I received the apitamy of poor customer service ...... I just called into Mtn Valley Dental to re-confirm my dentist appointment (made 6 months ago) for next Monday and was informed there was a mixup with the dentists time off.....and I needed to reschedule. It seems the dentists did not deem it nessecary to discuss vacation time between themselves (or staff) and decided to have the same day off......Monday, March 12th, my daughter and I's appointment date. I took a day of vacation in preparation for this and scheduled another medical appointment as well. After hanging up, I ask myself..."if i hadn't called today (at 3:21pm), would Mtn Valley have even called me about the schedule change? Sure, but when....Wednesday or Thursday? When speaking with the office manager, the approached and response used was one of 'too bad, nothing I can do....sorry'. No empathy whatsoever.
My family and I just moved over to Mtn Valley in 2011 due to the same type of treatment being received from another dentist. And after the first round of appointments (w/X-rays) at Mtn Valley, we felt welcomed and comfortable. To the point that we extending our good fortune to other family members and friends. Now, i'm sorry to say, we feel cheated once again.
I know this note won't go too far and most likely be viewed as 'its just another bitchy patient that had to change her plans'......but when does it stop? When will the patient (the paying customer) be placed first for a change.

I am the classic anxious patient. I would actually get physically ill when I had to go to the dentist. When I moved out here to AZ it was important to me to find a doctor who treated not just my teeth but my anxiety too. Dr. Guffey and his staff are warm, kind, friendly, and understand how anxious a person can become. They've never made me feel uncomfortable for having the anxiety either! I would recommend them again and again. They are professional, kind, and treat you like they truly care!

I took my six year old daughter in to get a cleaning ,she had a cavity and needed a filling. We scheduled an appt. and saw Dr. Temp. My daughter was very frightened not knowing what to expect. The staff was great! Michelle came in and talked with my daughter and showed her all the tools they would be using. She was awesome!!! I was so proud of my daughter. She sat through the whole procedure like a champ! You would have never known only minutes before she didn't want to get out of the car!! Dr. Temp was wonderful, too!!! Very caring and gentle dentist!! Many thanks to the staff!!

About Hygienist: Michelle ROCKS!!! She has a great way with children and really eased my daughters anxiety about the whole procedure.

My family has been seeing Dr. Guffey at Mt. View Family Dentistry for numerous years. This is a great dental office. The staff are very professional. The hygenists are very nice and friendly. Dr. Guffey is very friendly and takes all the time necessary to answer our questions about procedures, prices, and treatment options. He never forces any treatments on us. He is easy to talk to and never seems to hurried to talk about other things going on in our lives. Recently, I had invisalign braces done at a different location and came to Dr. Guffey to get my front teeth lengthened. He did an excellent job matching the color prefectly. I am so happy with the results. His assistant Joe is very competent and friendly. Good people doing good work. Thank you.

I was referred to Dr. Guffey by a co-worker because I am new in town and needed to find a dentist and get my teeth cleaned. The experience was smooth, painless, professional, clean, friendly, pleasant, cheerful, and efficient. When I asked for the cost for a crown replacement they were able to provide the cost to me within seconds. I highly recommend this dental practice.
About Hygienist: The dental hygienist, Adrienne, and assistant, Jenny were AWESOME! They knew what they were doing and were very thorough and efficient. I definitely highly recommend this dental practice.

I had major anxiety coming in to have my tooth pulled. Dr. Guffey was very very pleasant and explained all my options as well as cost and future appointments. I felt very comfortable from the moment i stepped in the door. The front desk ladies were very nice and the wait time was phenomenal. I only waited for about 3 minutes before i got to see the dr.
About Hygienist: AWESOME. Thank you so much to him. He made the situation 90 times better. I was scared out of my mind and he made everything better for me. I will be coming back and referring friends to this dentist.
