Inconsistent, at best. In our family, the wisdom tooth extraction a few years ago went great...More recently, the same treatment became the Worse experience Ever! This man wanted to remove one painful tooth & do a second procedure to remove the others. There was no medical reason for this (other than to make money), but the 2 bottom teeth were infected. After hours of waiting, unprofessional conduct, etc...went back to our primary dentist & immediately to a cleaner, friendlier, effective office where the surgeon immediately removed the dangerously infected teeth (all at once) for several hundred dollars less. Maybe this practice doesn't like Cash as much as certain insurances.

About Front Desk: 30-min. wait to fill out paperwork (no one else in office) Another patient walked in & asked why they didn't pick up phone? 1-1/2 hour wait before taken to room (hungry & in pain) Delay while doctor tried to talk us into 2 procedures (more $$) More waiting...No one checks on us (they probably think we're still there...) No one called to find out why we left or if we were OK Inappropriate & unprofessional staff comments Staff argumentative, rude & disrespectful This was an intolerable situation and am glad I walked out. This doctor either doesn't have confidence in his skill or is just trying to make the most money he can. Five HIPPA violations (that we blatantly caught) They want to charge $50 in-advance before you even schedule because "so many patients don't come back or call to cancel." Well, if they call-no one picks up the phone And paying that much in advance for an appt. is not standard in this community. Dingy. Patient Rights & HIPPA not respected.

I had a surgery scheduled and waited two and half hours to be called back. By that time I was so stressed, my blood pressure was high and Dr. Degen canceled my surgery. I had already paid for the procedure. Now I can't get a refund from him. They also billed my insurance for the procedure that was not performed. They cashed the check from the insurance company which I see as fraud. Now they are not responding to my requests for a refund. Incompetence or dishonesty? Not sure but I will never go back or refer anyone there!

After having gone through the ringer with two general dentists, I was finally put in touch with Dr. Degen for the specialist dental help I needed. Dr. Degen's entire office, from building to staff, was of high quality. Dr. Degen was very professional, considerate, informative and highly educated.

I met Dr Degen approximately a month a half ago, due to having an extreme amount of pain in 2 of my teeth. It turned out that I had (12) teeth left, and all but of 2 of them were beyond being saved. I am very very very scared of dentist and Oral sugreons. I've had 3 extremely bad experiences in the last 20 years, and as a direct result, I refused to go see anyone until I couldn't take it anymore. I am sad to say that that is exactly what I did. I do NOT recommend anyone do what I did. To make a long story short, Dr Degen is the BEST ORAL SURGEON I have ever experienced. He is the most COMPASSIONATE, CARING, KIND, CONSIDERATE, and just OVERALL good person. He took my fear seriously, and did everything he could to make me comfortable and not scared, and I was not scared at ALL !!! I had the IV sedation done, which by the way I am terrified of needles. GOOD NEWS, I DIDN'T FEEL the needle, can you believe that ? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR DEGEN !!! He's a positive influence to the human race. He is exactly what my mom taught me a dr was suppose to be like. A.V. 8/2/9
