First of all, the facility was not impressive, Omni Dental on Jollyville. Secondly, as a new patient they switched the doctor I had requested. Instead, I was assigned to Dr. Lamond who was new to the area and facility. My first visit, was a simple meeting to anyalyze work needing to be done. He was extremely pleasant and put me at ease. But, when it came time for the procedure, he and his assistant worked extremely poorly together. They did not use novacaine, so I was told if I got uncomfortable to let them know...it became clear quickly that I should've used it because there was quite a bit of pain but it was too late to stop and do anything about it. At one point I was choking on all the water and instead of letting me cough they assumed I was panicking and restrained me against the chair! The assistant wasn't giving him the correct liquids he requested and the filling had to be redone because it fell out immediately! On top of it, I was charged a significant amount for the squirt of medication that supposedly prevents sensitivity to cold per tooth, that was not covered by my insurance. In fairness, Dr. Lamond called to check on me the next day and clearly was the new guy but I didn't appreciate being the guinea pig.
